Installing ChatBack
Open ChatBack-Setup.exe. If Windows shows this warning, follow these steps:
If no warning appears, continue with Setup.
If Windows asks permission to install, check the publisher and select Yes.
Why does Windows show this warning?
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen displays an "unrecognized app" notice for newly published software while Microsoft's cloud reputation service accumulates download telemetry across Windows users.
Even software signed with an official corporate certificate displays this prompt until sufficient safe executions are recorded globally. If the publisher matches and you trust the download source, select More info → Run anyway.
Verify the download and digital signature
1. Check Digital Signature Properties
Right-click ChatBack-Setup.exe → Properties → Digital Signatures tab → select Parabolic Holding AS → Details.
The dialog must state: “This digital signature is OK.”
2. Check Official SHA-256 Checksum
